Matthew King, CFA

President & Founder

After spending 15 years at a large Bay Area investment advisory firm working with clients in a planning and investment capacity, Matt started his own firm in 2015.

The inspiration for this new venture was to bring the high-level financial advice and service that high-net-worth investors receive to everyone.

Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which he obtained in 2004. He earned a degree in finance from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, and he is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. Matt holds both the Series 65 & 66 securities licenses.

Aside from following the financial markets, Matt enjoys BBQing, sports and spending time with his wife and three kids. He also volunteers as a youth baseball coach and serves as a team sponsor in San Mateo National Little League & AYSO.

Johanna King

Operations Manager

After two different stints in the corporate tech world interrupted by 9 years as a stay-at-home mom, Johanna joined the family business in 2018. Her previous work experience mainly involved serving as a client success specialist for large software companies to ensure that customers were taken care of and satisfied. Her duties at King Wealth Advisors are similar in that she is responsible for fulfilling client requests. She also manages many of the day-to-day operations of the business.

Johanna earned a degree in agribusiness from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo and returned to help run her family’s farm for two years before moving to the Bay Area. She holds the Series 65 securities license.

The biggest inspiration for her career change is being able to work from home, so she can once again spend quality time with her three kids. Aside from family, Johanna enjoys cooking, gardening and volunteering at her kids’ school.
